Words in D minor

Words in D minor

A Poem by ICE

I'd give up everything

Just to have a taste

Of you.

I'd drop these fears

With the falling of tears

If you'd say you'd

Be mine.

I sit here

And watch you;

Letting you be

my inspiration

Tonight.

Soft sophistication.

A smile

Helps part your lips.

Broken as I am

Drawn to you

Rolling in your dark;

Shadows

Steal the light.

I lie here

And open my eyes

To the fact

That I've been only telling myself

Lies.

Indulging in guilty pleasures

Holding on to

What was never mine.

I breathe in slowly

Bide my time...

I can't put this

Into words

As efficiently

As you

Could.

It's smooth, like good yogurt. A warm breeze in a cold room.
