![]() HalogenA Poem by ICE
Time to put on my facade As a new day begins. Sun rises Night ceases to exist At least for this moment My thoughts dry up And despite myself I smile a madwoman's smile. Choices so simple So hard. It was love at first light That set me to pieces. How useless was I? How useless am I now? A ghost trapped in a shell. Persistance of memory Never fails. So I walk away... Not wanting to return but Having to. I live for that look In you eyes. Pull me close to you and Wrap your arms around me... Calm this perfect storm And with lips on my face Eyes half lidded Say 'lets go back to sleep'. © 2009 ICEAuthor's Note
