![]() The days passA Poem by Ice
The days pass,
and my wounds deepen into their stings. My eyelids thicken and my soul caves, as time plans to abandon without you, the days. My feet carry me to the bathroom, I lock the stall as it encloses me, and the walls spin as my fingers desperately urge for the words I cannot speak. The blade releases my pain in crimson, and I can finally breathe. I unwillingly launch the lock to release its hold, and I speak to no one, not even you. Heavy pain escapes my eyes, but I keep it there, and turn on my feet to run. I see you over there, I can sense you, I can smell you in the air as you pass, and I know you see me, too. I'm growing into a phantom, a ghost of what I said I'd always be. Day by day I find the paths to shed myself of my very skin. I'm unlike the rest, as I embank myself from the outside in. The seconds smooth my hair away, but the tears kept me awake all night just breathing your name. My eyes locked your silhouette as its thrive, and the chills swept through my body like ice. You frustrate yourself, you weep, begging me to believe your every word, and your pleads echo down my spine. You touch me softly, pleading my name, begging me to live the days. The days pass, and my body fills with maroon lines, asking you in a whisper, a grazing of lips. Why didn't you come for me?
