What is it to love?

What is it to love?

A Poem by Ice Girl
"

what is love?

"

What is it to love?

That question I ask myself.

I have never felt it before,

And I think I will never feel it.

Love must be warm, fuzzy feeling,

It must be kind and caring.

I read about it in books,

I notice it on streets,

I see it on pictures,

And it seems amazing.

My heart dies each time,

When in books they say

That they love each other.

I want to feel it,

I want to live it.

It all seems so wonderful.

I want to feel it as well. Sometimes I wonder if I do, but I find it difficult to tell... Thank you for this poem.

The poem is simple..... not really fantastic but I do like this one aspect of your poem.
Unlike, many writers who haven't really felt love, you chose to speculate about what love feels like. I like that honesty an it gives me a little bit of an idea for my Valentine Day's peace.

"I have never felt it before,
And I think I will never feel it."

You loose rhythm right about here...
Otherwise, the poem is cute. Again, I like your honesty. Instead of trying to fashion a poem about love; you chose to think about what love felt like. Admirable.

Favorite line had to be.. " I read about in books." All too true.
I think you should rephrase this line however... Love cannot /really/ be ' kind and caring '. Your lover can... It just seems... off. " It must be kind and caring." You speak of love as if it was a person. If that was your intention then you need to be consistent throughout the poem... If not? Then a rephrasing might be in order.

Love? Oh you are such a romantic to be asking this question.
Many people think it's a euphoria. But it gets hard...perhaps if you've ever fallen you'll know that it gets hard to trust somebody. :D Interesting beginning.

I love that feeling when you read a book, and the main character confesses his/her undying love for another! Sometimes it makes me cry.

I really enjoy this. And I'm sure you will definitely feel it and all of its splendor someday. And when you do, I hope it's everything you want it to be. :)
