Forgiveness/Moving On

I'm not really sure what this is. It's not very poetic, it doesn't rhyme, and it doesn't have a set rhythm.. I just sat down and decided to write. This is what I came up with.. I hope you enjoy!

Forgiveness/Moving On

Forgiveness is moving on.

Forgetting the cause, Remembering the feelings, and yet feeling nothing in return.

 Seeing a person you've been through so much with, 

Looking in their eyes and realizing you mean nothing to them anymore.

And they mean absolutely nothing to you.

 You can pass them everyday,

Knowing that you'll probably never speak to them for the remainder of your life, and yet feel only emptiness towards them.

 No anger, no resentment, no sadness, no ache, no pain, no anything. Nothing.

But carefully guarded compassion to the stranger that was once your best friend.

But now just that stranger you pass glances at,

             Every

                  Other

                        Day...
