The Pain of Loving ..........

I flash you bright smiles

in the middle of a storm,

I put on a show

Just to see your face glow,

I go an extra mile

Just to see your face break into a smile,

I strain to listen

Even when your story’s not worth a dime,

I laugh the loudest

At your old and stale jokes,

I’d rather be reprimanded by the boss

Than miss your call,

I stay up late

Wishing every call I get

And every message that comes through

Would be from you,

I spend sleepless nights

Wishing you were by my side,

I have swallowed my pride countless times

Tried antics of all kinds

 Prayed hard and every time

To gain access to your heart,

I have written you poems

Sung you songs

And been at your beck and call,

But the pain, oh the pain

Of loving someone who doesn’t know

Or doesn’t wonna know

You wouldn't wonna know!

This poem is so sad and strong! the pain of loving is familiar to all of us...how can we escape from it? I wish by writing poems :) but some people want this pain or just can`t without this pain?
