Eyes Wide Shut

Eyes Wide Shut

A Poem by NiceTouch

Is another day we didn't give away
Sufficient enough to lead us to the pearly gates?
Laying down bricks of an ominous fate
The other side is embedded in embracing unyielding faith
Eyes wide shut when I'm wake
Lost in a translation of vices, strife, and a need to escape
Hope others can relate.

Perfect. Just...perfect. Your poem is beautiful. Eyes wide shut when I'm wake...amazing line. Great job. It's impressive that you can think of language like that rather than follow the normal, boring phrases normal poets use. Nice work.
