The Dream Eater

Have you ever felt your dreams were devouring you and there was just one person in the world to take them away?

I wanna be yours so badly I feel like I could burn
I wanna hold your hand so tight your fingers start to ache
I wanna dance with you so long you can't take another turn
And before you realize, my heart is to be yours to take

I wanna eat ice-cream so cold our lips and tongues go numb
I wanna kiss it off your chin and wherever else it'd fall
There's so much to you to know, so much you could become
I'm scared to go there deeper, afraid to find it all

Be here for me, my dear, be here to stop my breath
Be here so I can find your hand when I wake from bad dreams
When you're away and out of sight I feel like put to death
And everytime I see your face I forget all of those screams

Somehow your presence helps, you make them go away
Whatever happens, you're my muse, you're always so serene
They say you're evil, bad, that I am sure to be your prey
But I need you here to push away the nightmares I have seen

That's a nice "DREAM EATER" i think. lol Hahah :) very nice and a powerful poem. Words're great and unique. Hey.. why don't you write some more writes ..i meant like big writes, e.g, books, storys' and so on. Anyway..i;d love to read your some more stuffs too.

I have a few stories here and a whole lot of different ones on my computer, but the ones not posted here are in Polish and I would have to translate them and get them proofread first, so they're not gonna appear here anytime soon. I'm also working on a few books, at the moment, with ideas for much more, but I've had a writer's block for a while now and I'm still trying to overcome it. But thank you for your review, it certainly helps!

Thank you! There was nothing in my mind at that moment, because I was sleeping, really. I woke up in the middle of the night because I got the idea for the first line of the second stanza, and I had to write it down... But I'm glad you liked it!
