A new life to begin in a rain

A new life to begin in a rain

A Poem by I am learning to write
"

Describing a photograph posted for a contest

"
An umbrella kept her dry
From getting wet in the rain
Even though her heart was submerged
In so much pain
She was leaving in the rain
To a place far and unknown
She knew not where to go
But had courage to explore
Her suitcase and bag were the only thing she owned
To carry on a train that was coming to her like a flame
Life will go on
She told herself
That a new way will be here
While the old will be gone
That is not just her life
It’s the way for all
As the new begins
The old is gone

Wonderful job on your poem. These little writing exercises help writers who may at times have difficulty in their art with blocking. They can also make a good contest too. Because every artist will interpret something different from the same image their eyes may see. Nice work on this one.
