Chapter 2: Rebellion

When Amber awakens she meets a long time enemy of hers and finds out a shocking revelation.

                                                            Chapter 2: Rebellion

Slowly, Amber’s eyes opened revealing where she was. She was shackled in a small, metal box. After much struggle, she realized that she couldn’t break her chains. Suddenly, the door to the metal box swung open!

            “Wakey-wakey canary someone wants to meet you!” shouted the man, pulling Amber out of the cage. She didn’t recognize the man but she just assumed that he was one of Drat’s human soldiers. After being dragged through a couple of halls, Amber arrived upon two, plain, stainless, steel doors. They were so bland that Amber wouldn’t have suspected that there was anything special behind it. After the man knocked, the words, “entered” was murmured from behind it. Then the two people entered the room and what was behind it shocked Amber. A beautiful lady was hidden behind it. Once they were in front of the woman, the man threw Amber to the ground then he followed.

            “Impudent pig, I would like to introduce you to Lord Drat” said the man respectfully. Amber gasped at this shocking revelation. Lord Drat laughed at Amber’s shocked expression.

            “Ha ha, rise servants,” said Lord Drat, unexpectedly, softly. Amber and the man complied with her orders.

            “What’s the matter pretty bird?  Are you surprised?” asked Lord Drat still laughing?

            “Well…um… you’re a little more um… curvaceous then I imagined,” said Amber. This was true; Lord Drat was a rather Junoesque lady. “Also, if you’re a woman why do you go by lord?” asked Amber?

            “Honey, it’s not exactly the 21^st century anymore. Nobody finds a woman threatening. I cringe every time I even think of hearing the words, ‘Lady Drat’. It sounds so unmenacing. Now we need to get down to business. You are aware of the things I normally do with mutants, I-“kidnap” collect” said Lord Drat scowling at Amber’s rude action.

            “Yes I am. You force them to fight one another for your own sick amusement” said Amber disgusted. Lord Drat gasped at the girl’s horrible comment. She slapped Amber and Amber was about to scream, when the man suddenly grabbed her hair and held a knife to her throat!

            “Scream and I’ll split your throat!” said the man threateningly. Suddenly the door to the room slowly and Amber recognized the ice-cold wind that followed.

            “Oh great, the fate of Lord Drat is in the capable hands Clovis the barbarian and his lightning fast reflexes,” said Winter sarcastically.

            “What is it Winter?” asked Lord Drat.

            “Well, there was a rebellion in the yard and we found out who caused it,” said Winter. Then Lord Drat motioned for the two people at the door to enter. The two people didn’t look like regular humans but Amber had never seen them before. Behind the two people were two people being dragged by a chain around their necks.

            “Hm, figures that you two were in charge of the rebellion. I have half a mind to kill you,” said Lord Drat. Suddenly Lord Drat’s hand turned into a round, red hook and she charged at the girls! She stopped right as the hook was about to cut them.

            “But where’s the fun in that” said Lord Drat ominously. Amber could tell that Clovis was severely shaken by Lord Drat’s sudden action. Now was her time. She quickly kicked Clovis in the stomach. Then she quickly snagged the rope she was tied up with on his blade, causing her to be cut free. After she was free she elbowed him into Winter who was now charging at her! Both of them were sent flying back! Then Amber grabbed the dagger and charged at Lord Drat. However, Drat quickly turned around and hit Amber’s hand with the hook and sent the dagger flying across the room! Amber then went to scream but was stopped when a long shadow came out of the ground and covered Amber’s mouth! Amber felt the life being drained from her entire body and she fell to the ground.

            “Nice try” said an icy voice from the doorway. Everybody turned to see who it was. Leaning in the door way was Tenebris, who had his hand transformed into a shadow and throw the doorway.

            “Thank you Tenebris. Now, birdie I have decided what I am going to with you and the mutineers. In three weeks you guys are going to fight to the death and only one can return. The other two must die. But, the three of you will be spending every minute together until then. This way the fight will be even more interesting,” said Lord Drat smiling wryly. Then the three mutants were shackled and brought to one large holding cell. Amber knew that she had three weeks to think of a plan and kill Drat. But she didn’t have to do it alone. She had two other people to help.
