I Once Wrote A Poem

I Once Wrote A Poem

A Poem by Inject Positivity

I once wrote a poem
I wrote it on my palm
But somehow it washed away
With tears or sweat
I can't really remember
I took a bottle of water
And drank all of it
But I felt thirsty all day
As if my thirst for life
Yet to be quenched
I put on a sweater
To keep the chilly wind away
But inside I felt cold
With no signs of love and care
I desperately tried to find a shelter
A shelter made of love
But I didn't realize
There were holes in my heart
And to hold love it wasn't prepared

holes in the heart are just cold by nature, and long for something with such a strong thirst...love seeps through and drains out every chance it gets...

keeping it takes work...and much giving.

You got to write the poem down on a place that the ink is permanent, for it's easy enough to loose even when it is.

I like your poem, the feeling, the meaning and the rhymes. Tyfs!

That sense of losing something when we don't exactly know what but we have unquenchable thirst for the same.. Is what came to my mind reading this.. just like slipping sand!
The title took hold of me though!

I once wrote a poem..
