This is totally original & unexpected, yet relatable, becuz I've seen situations where this happens (could be dance, could be bull riding, could be backpacking). I love the way you describe the hurts in a believable, palpable way, yet you also accept this as a natural part of doing something you love. I rode my bicycle for 2000 miles in my 30's & I want to tell you how much my intimate parts hurt! Now you've given me an amazing idea for writing something in a similar vein someday! *wink! wink*! Thanks for the inspiration . . . I love it when writers get outside the "typical" topics! *smile* fondly, Margie
I dance too and sometimes I get really self conscious about my feet because of the scars and scrapes but I love them? Like I love them so much. And I love the way this poem is at first interpreted as something abusive or depressing but it's about your dance.
So true- each scar bruise mark makes us who we are with character- anything that requires dedication- is worth it- I used to do four hour aerobic marathons through the night none stop- pulled all my stomach muscles- but went back for more- no pain no gain- wonderfully written🌹

It's a sign of bravery when someone can run through there life with those scars which occurred while loving something. At a time it doesn't remains as scars well actually turns out to be their power.
Deep contents inside your poem!!
