I Remember

I wrote this about my boyfriend.

I remember when I held his hands in mine.

His skin was soft to the touch,

and it was cold.

But I didn't mind,

When I took his hands he giggled.

It was sweet,

My fingers interlaced with his'.

I wish I hadn't let go.

I wanted to keep holding your hands as we entered the school.

I wish I hadn't let go.

I remember after the movie.

We were outside.

He was so cold.

I offered him my jacket.

He declined,

We re-entered the theater.

He shivered,

So I hugged him and didn't let go until his teeth stopped chattering.

I wish I hadn't let go.

I remember when we went skating.

I wanted to hold his hand,

To tell him how much I loved him.

I wish I had.

I wanted to.

I remember,

Everyday,

How much I love him.

And I want him to remember too.

I wrote this about my boyfriend, it is the first "romantic" poem that I've written.

I know this should be interpreted as sweet an innocent, but I feel like anyone who is in love goes through this emotion, I mean, love is a pure and raw thing, it has edges and will definitely cut you if you let it, but everyone has that stage of love where your stomach churns in the best way possible every time you're near that person, or even think about that person. it's incredible
