I laughed as the cool water swept me off from underneath my feet
And cold, damp ground welcomed me with open arms.
The world seems so small from down low, and yet infinitely large at the same time.
Water trickeled into every inch of my being
And yet i did not mind being wet.
Something about the rain was comforting
The steady smoothness of the pitter-patter of rain drops
Like children running on a sunny day.
It was pleasing to my soul.
Mud splashed all over me,
And yet I was still clean.
I could hear the distant sound of a crow
Screaching for me to leave.
But I couldn't move.
I was hypnotized by the world.
By the beauty of simplicity.
The crow called again,
But this time I couldn't hear it.
I looked up
At the heavenly tears
That came running down the sky
Filled with dreams and wishes.
And I smiled.
I lay there on the ground,
Looking like a fool
And for the first time
I didn't care.
