Roads

Roads

A Poem by INeedNerve

If you were gone

An entire road would go with you

A road filled with hidden doors to secret gardens

You see, it would be lost to me.

As I crunched down it I would be lost

In the visions of your ghost,

Wind caressing my waist,

The walls would wrap around me and hold me.

Monstrous blue buildings would stare

Somberly reminding me

You were not waiting.

It is my morning and evening

My path to knowledge,

Bringing me the world,

And taking me home when the world is too much.

Without

I’d be lost forever, stuck,

(De)void.
