Make meA Poem by Lisa Marie Firth FountainMake me fumble, crawl till dawn, Make me pray I’ll live till morn. Make me angry, burn my words, Make me useless, my voice unheard.
Make me yearn another year, Make me see my time is near. Make me hope for rain or flood, Make me swim with brick through mud.
Make me run, the wind a gust, Make me blush in fields of lush. Make me wonder, trance like thoughts, Make me plunder, my fears all lost.
Make me careless, good deeds long past, Make me trance like, forgotten and masked. Make me only what is right, Make me stand tall, smart and bright.
Make me earnest, long for peace. Make me humble, my pride beneath. Make me westbound, to sunset I sail, Make me lose track, of all I’ve failed.
Make me yours, till death be our last, Make me complete, your soul be my vast. Make me forever, forever, forever, Make me a moment, subside will I never. © 2012 Lisa Marie Firth FountainFeatured Review
