That Smile

Just another poem I guess...

Haven't you all noticed?
Don't you see it?
The way it lost its sparkle.
The way it twitches like it can't hold its self up.
How could you think that they are genuinely happy?
Don't you see the tears build up in their eyes?
The way they look down to avoid eye contact?
They've been trapped in this act for way too long.
Their smile is faltering.
They can't keep this up much longer.
Can't you see all the pain? all the sadness?
In that mournful smile of theirs.
