Twilight

Twilight

A Poem by Chev

Hey, is this the truth? Is this a lie?

Or you just playing with my mind?

Hey, can’t you tell? Can’t you see?

That I will fight to be by your side

Why would you push me away?

Are you trying to fool me?

With all these lies…

Can’t see that you’re hurting me?

Why do you do this now?

But in the end I will die

From this pain that you

Are inflicting on me

This not a life that I will fight for

You will see me fade from your eyes

Hanging on a cliff running for my life

You will see me in the star watching

My life fades to black.

Hey, is this true? Is this a lie?

That you’re just playing with my mind

My life is no longer yours

It will always be mine

Can’t you tell? Can’t you see?

That I am leaving you now

I won’t fight this war that keeps getting me hurt

Now I am going back into the shadows

To live my life as who I am

Hey, is this true? Is this a lie?

That you’re going to take my life…

Wanting me to die in an open sea of death

Can’t you see? Can’t you tell?

That I am already dead

Hiding in the shadow of the forget Pain …

This is my twilight
