Decay

Decay

A Poem by Chev

Flesh decays before your eyes.

My heart cries in pain of denial

 Is this real?

Truth that drains the air I breathe, slowly sinking into its webs

Wrapping into tangled lies

Holding onto every organ

Clinging to the air

Holding on to the weeping tears…into soulless sea…

Drifting into a shell of peace

I thank you for killing me

Leaving my being to decay beneath your feet

Erasing every memory of who I used to be

I thank you for hating.

For every moment of leaving, smirking into the dark

Whispers with another word

Goodbye … and farewell
