Fog Upon Brooklyn

Fog Upon Brooklyn

A Poem by SignificantAcronym
"

a song I haven't quite worked out yet

"
There's a mist on the skyline
And I'm feeling alright tonight
Something inside is just right and I can't fight it
I'm not feeling up but I'm sure as hell not down
I'm simply existing I'm simply coming round the bend
Speeding up then slowing down
The traffic jam looks at me and I look away to the
Grey sky in my eyes
Looking Down
Looking down
Spare me the words of the poet that can't ignore his rhythm
I see birds laughing at me thru the clouds cuz they can't see me but I can see them
And I love the sweet taste of symphonies written on buildings graffiti
The raindrops are the orchestra trickling across the window into alleyways
Speeding up then slowing down
The traffic jam looks at me as I look away to the
Grey sky in my eyes
Looking down
Looking down
I'm sorry I've forgotten my place
I've escaped to a far off space
This window is all I know
Speeding up and slowing down
The traffic jam looks at me as I look away to the
Grey sky in my eyes
Looking down
Looking down
Slowing down then speeding up
The mist of the concrete is all that surrounds me
My grey eyes shrouded inside
Looking down
Looking down
