August 27th Part 2A Poem by SignificantAcronymthe second part of a two part poem for a one sided situation
I walked into a bed bath and beyond and I remembered the time we licked the salt lamps and you stole cotton balls
My nostalgic mind wanders and I ponder all the good times and I hold on to the bad times because they mean just as much to me Do you remember? Do you remember when we sat among the trees? When I didn't want the water on my feet, you held my hand and kissed me on the cheek, that was a good week The last time you were in my basement you subtlety asked me "can I kiss you" and now I'm asking you the same thing but it's an ending We sat right here before almost a year ago today Your eyes were full of starlight and my dear they haven't changed a bit I miss the way you held me when i cried This can't possibly be goodbye © 2016 SignificantAcronymAuthor's Note
