We are back to the drawing board back to square one
There have been adjustments some tweaks here and there
But at least we still care
And at least we aren't scared
Words from my lips are not quite as strong as the
Paragraphs my eyes have often poured out
A single glance and you knew
Everything was yours
You saw me struggle and didn't even know it
That's okay now our rift has started
So many meaningless characters sewn together to translate
Meaningless thoughts into meaningless sentences
Are you tired of hearing me speak?
My voice can stop
My vocal chords hush
But my eyes can't help but wander over to you
Letting everything go
Forming these poems with the flecks of gold in my eyes
To the flecks of grey in yours
One day you might understand the extent of my words
One day more

But it's not going to be today and I'll just have to live with that
I speak very plainly for I've run out of things to say
That I haven't already said
In stanzas past
I just need to release this
Beast
This energy
This heartbeat grows louder and louder in my eardrums and all I can picture is you
Your heart
Beating
Effortlessly supplying your body with blood and emotion
With every warming thump
I want to lay like this forever
But there are more important things to attend to right now

We might go out for a drink and discuss the value of an imaginary imagination
