Dark Desires of LoveA Poem by Ian CaithnessAn inspired poem which reflects upon love, the dangers and the wonder that exists in unrequited love. The dark desires of lust filled men Lost to the bliss of her sweet ignorance. Their eyes undress her, rough and cold Her body it shifts in the glory of attention.
She draws them, her body sways Watching them all from a short distance. The cry to be touched seems all too much She sells herself as though at an auction.
The moment has passed, another man watches. Protective, possessive, his eyes ablaze. Simply his presence, her all and her crutch Their eyes and their body throw wind to the caution.
Their eyes, they met in blazen lust A glance, a stare, for the two it changes... Lost in the sensual, fleeting moment Bodies meeting in a sense of touch...
A lust replaced with unrequited love. Their daring actions, a hunger for trust. It always existed. It was simply dormant. And now it is free, for all to be seen... © 2008 Ian CaithnessFeatured Review
