Ever-Changing

Ever-Changing

A Poem by Matt Chevalier

This ever-changing box
Facets all speaking some language I don't know
As I'm standing in the middle, listening.

Try moving the fluttering curtains away
When they're battering your face.

I will never know what this means
This endless monologue
Wafting through kitchen windows like smoke.

Don't breathe too deeply
Or you'll end up knowing everything.
