Captain Planet's Sinking Ship

Captain Planet's Sinking Ship

A Poem by Aditya Warrier

Wider salty seas
And the waves a tall
No ice on my Whisky on rocks
Trees are no more at all

I grow thirsty now
I grow hungry now
Animal bones here and there
Smoke and grime is everywhere

Man is tired
Homeless and Hopeless
Accepting the fate
Of Mother Earth's hate

Destroy! Destroy! Destroyed!
We had doomed ourselves a long ago
The naked sun laughed at us
As it consumes us all

I am a child from the future
I don't like the future
I want to change it
By helping you now

Where is everyone when they're needed most?
3's a crowd. Imagine what 3 billion is.
Imagine what 30 billion is.

Destroy! Destroy! Destroyed!
We lead ourselves to doom
The naked sun will laugh at us
As it will consume us all.
