One Last Breath

One Last Breath

A Poem by IAmGhost120
"

Nothing is eternal, especially life. It disappears with a breath, gone forever.

"

They walk about

On silent feet

Combing your hair

With nimble fingers

Crooning in your ears

When you’re down

And then

Oh my

You gasp

One last breath

And they take you

Like the wind

Whooshing leaves

Away in a storm

Just like that

And

You’re

Gone.

Wow. Wonderful poem.

I loved how vague the poem was. It allowed the imagination to wonder. :-)

This was a very intersting poem. The flow of the poem from line to line was very good and the concept of the poem was vague, but interesting.

They walk about on silent feet- I love this opening it so speaks volumes about the passing of time. You have a flair for metaphor, great poem keep em' coming

A very nice poem. You put words in this that makes the poem jump to life. There's a lot of good descriptions and strong words. Hoping that life would be just a slight bit longer is a wish but will never come true. I love this poem. Great write.
