The SongA Poem by I Am Eagle ScoutIt shouldn't be too hard to figure out where my inspiration comes from. The words oft spared for
fear of ear Know not themselves what weight they hold Nor doth the tongue that chases fear From heart and mind and even soul The power held behind her lips Enchanted
lyrics bound so tight For nearby ears betray our bliss And so she waits for moments right Her voice doth quell the storm inside The heavens calm and waters still A whispered word the rains abide To save my soul from failing ill If trapped I was within a storm With frigid ice and snow so cold Seek not would I a fire’s warmth But whispers soft, and she to hold If bound and gagged and suff’ring pain Found shackled in a dungeon deep My wish would be beyond what’s sane To hear once more what words she speaks If worst had come and health had gone And death had come to call me off My wish would be to hear her song The lilt to call my soul aloft And when I’d gone to meet my King I’d ask to stay where I could hear So in the morning when she sings I’d listen well to she so dear © 2014 I Am Eagle ScoutAuthor's Note
