Limbo

Limbo

A Poem by Carmine Branco
"

I don't know what is wrong or right.

"
Left in limbo
Solitude in a crowd
Death is freedom
I want to shout it out loud
Hopes all lost
Life's bitter truth
Looking through glass windows
Broken shadows of eternal light
No one understands me
My words are sounds
that make no sense
as darkness sorrounds me;
sleep is my only confort
I have nothing to look forward to
No hopes of a better tomorrow
my dreams fade away
like smoke of a cigarette;
embers remain of a final dragh
I wish to obliterate myself
to fear no more
Life's punishment
doesn't exist at death's
humble door.
