The Battle Of Consciousness

The Battle Of Consciousness

A Poem by I'llPlayTheJuliet

Sleep,

Bitter-sweet unconscious,

it's been awhile since your waves

have carried me to dreamscapes,

I start to slip into your

co-dependent, loving arms,

debate fighting your melodic lullaby,

ponder why I need you after all,

instead I let myself be captured,

let go of this reality,

into one only myself have endured.
