Reach.

Reach.

A Poem by Thinking Anonymously

I reach for you, through my blackened lungs, drowned in this vile fluid that intoxicates me.
I reach for you now, like a diver to an unsalvagable ship. We have capsized.
And although I would swim down into the deepest depths of the coldest ocean for you, I would be digging for fools gold.
My life is a lie, and I must seek the truth, or strive to find comfort in the unknown. But no longer, I fear will reaching for you bear any fruit.
It is winter in my heart, and although I know that the sweet early autumn harvest will come again, I fear the journey I must take to arrive at that beautiful place once more.
