Iron Lung.

Iron Lung.

A Poem by Thinking Anonymously

Take me away to the forest of blue
To the city of dreams
Where they all come true.
Pull me now from the sweet woody earth
Drown me in air
And denounce my rebirth.
Tell me my lungs are filled with lies
That life is a myth
Tell me it's all a disguise.
Fill me with exctasy, pure darkness and dirt
Plant within me a seed
And make me convert.
Make me believe in the wood in the trees
Show me how
To build a great city.
A home in the endless forest I crave
A dream, a safe place
A sweet memory I'll  save.
Place this bitter substance upon my tongue
My life in your palm
Be my iron lung.
