Hymns From The Shore Of Night.A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx1/13/2012I tried to walk together with you, but the night was growing dark. That I never had explored with you yet. Before the fights and the tears, the sorrow and the growing fears,” You said to me once, and your voice was as distant as the stars, Untouchable and lost in the sea of the sky. You took it with you when you left, the pain I knew so well. And I cannot seem to find you in the dark. And I am screaming your name, the questions you cried to me From that lost and distant shore: “Where are you now? Are you lost? Are you lost like I am? Are you afraid? Are you terrified like I am? Why did you go? Come back! Will you wait? Will you wait? I tried walking together with you, but the morning was growing bright. I thought you weren’t beside me, holding my hand, But I reached and you were there, and I could feel you, and I could find myself. Sometimes I hear you calling from beside me, loud and clear, And I explore a side of the world with you. “I heard you crying softly for the way it is now, After the fights and tears vanish, after the sorrow and the fears die,” You say to me, your voice so close as you. And you give me my heart back, mended and whole. These scars were just a reminder of what I hated so, but you turned the ribbons Into flowers and willows so beautiful as you trace them, And you walk with me until the end of earth, only to jump with me Into the nothing below, falling gracefully to the tune of hymns and love. You answer each question I had called, with only a few words that I always said: “I love you forever and always, and I will always be with you…Even in death…” © 2012 xXxCynicalWarsxXx |
