Statue Bliss.

Statue Bliss.

I was gray in tone as men passed on by

As the day approaches for me to die.

Cold as ice in touch through the years

As I was always living my fears.

No one paid no mind to be of metal

Because I was a poison rotten and so fatal.

I was chiseled out of steel that aches tonight

And lisp spit hateful words that bite.

A reflection of the world that sighs when babies are born.

When words come forth of scorn

I am oblivious to, but the eye that turns my way

This tremendous gloomy and bleak day

I see as a hand of his runs over my hair, caressing my cold skin,

Washing away all fear for love to sink in.

As the warmth of his eyes flitter through me

Showing All I need to see.

Hope is what I feel in his touch of gentle, soothing the pain

And the downpour is of acid rain.

His lips kiss me so softly to the tune of desire

And I breathe him in as I am carried higher and higher.

His arms hold me so tightly

As I am loved for me.

And I want to feel his breath across my neck so hot and wet,

Chancing every last bitter bet.

And I will hold him in my memory,

Love him as much as he loves me.

I have been given life from a statue so motionless,

All to feel this utter, entire, pure bliss.
