Battle Tears And Roses

 

I've awoke to shed a few tears like always.

The dream of being with You haunting my mind.

The sunlight is white in this bedroom.

And it's a gloomy cast of shadows.

I curse my memory a thousand times.

For I can see your face so clearly.

I can see those rich brown eyes dancing,

Those full beautiful pink lips smiling,

The creamy skin covering every secret too well.

I can almost feel you,

And I know I can hear your voice.

I think I know what lies inside.

Those emotions only leaking out rarely.

I think I know which rose wilted,

Which body lost their way,

Which one of us filled with empty sighs.

I think I know which rose said they'd revive the other,

Which body carried the other beyond the bend,

Which one of us filled with romance.

I'm sorry i wilted from the pain, but I still fight.

I know I lost my way, and you took me by the hand,

And lead me into the future.

Even though the sighs were empty and painful,

You spoke of romance, of a hidden love.

And each night i cry myself to sleep

Because the world is cruel.

Sunlight goes to hide now,

The gloomy cast shadows darkening

As the dream of you fills me with warmth, a haunting.

I wipe these tears away like always

And go to fight this battle just for you.
