Cast By Shadows.

Cast By Shadows.

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

Shadows cast by the sun

are harmless as one;

but many more to come

and I am done.

Shadows cast over me at night,

many to cause such fright,

and all I think of is if they'll take me to such great heights

and shine me over in sick lights.

I think of who I am inside,

and I know too well that I had died,

so long ago, had she the one to hide

all rules to abide.

The fact remains

that this all is a game,

a guilty pleasure soaking in shame

enducing intoxicating pain!

If I had a second life

and if I had a chance to make it right,

I'd start over and call it all vainful strife!

There is nothing but a hazy light!

Nothing comes from the working backwards.

Nothing comes from the talking masters.

No lips can speak pain and misery in the here and after.

No one knows of the Shadows laughter.

No one know but I, that Shadows cast by the sun

are harmless as one;

but many more to come

and I am done.

Very tragic. The poem states the person's torment and despair, convincing himself that even second chances are so trite. I love what's been done here.
