Hearts Dream Too.A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXxI found out the liquid inside is my heart, boiling ever still. She burns with too many emotions to name. She cries when I am asleep from fear. She screams when the worse is near, When she is in shame, When what they say becomes a hill That she cannot climb over. She grabs her battle axe and armor when it comes to fighting for life. She lets their knives peirce her to ribbons, And the barbwire to constrict her beat. She lets the Boys of ignorance take her out her cage And blend her up to a boiling drink. She lets love override her into a blinding trust And she lets hate tear her down to a slow pitter-patter. She drinks her misery away with lies from a bottle, Injects euphoria into her system with more lies, And smokes the lies like a daily habit. When she falls asleep, she is restless in her dreams. She dreams about a black nothing. She looks at the black clouds pouring red rain and razzor blades. She sees the purple sun burning out into the color of soot. She thinks her lovers and finds them chasing her into hibernation. She never wakes up again, Because I never woke her up. I let her sleep to death, and I let her go. She'll stir in her coffin every now and then, but she never opens her eyes. She dreams about the black nothing. I dream of it too. And one day, I'll be with her in that coffin, © 2011 xXxCynicalWarsxXx |
