I Could Never Say

I Could Never Say

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

I Could Never Say.

I could never say how sorry I was to hurt you.

The thorns of a Rose I remain.

To this day we still don't speak

But my feelings are ever the same.

Those words you took for granted were real

Those words never left my lips in vain.

I even remember your eyes and smile.

I don't care if you cause me pain.

I just want to be with you...

Even if it's for a short while.

{Let me hear your voice

I'm begging and pleading.

Let me be a choice

Upon those you're loving.

Let me say those words of gray.

The future is brighter that yesterday.}

I could never say how much agony I was in.

The petals of a flower I wilted with one glance

God gave me sadness to grow from

but he's given me YOU as a chance

To make it out alive.

I and love and you mean everything now.

To you they mean nothing

But to me, they're my wondrous sky.

Even on the day I die,

They'll mean nothing more than a gift from your heart.

{Let me hear your voice

I'm begging and pleading.

Let me be a choice

Upon those you're loving.

Let me say those words of gray.

The future is brighter that yesterday.}

Oh...I never thought I'd hear your voice enough

Guess I called your bluff

But does that really matter in the end?

To fall for the Rose because of beauty

Of symbol and pain

Of you, of me?

Who is to know...

{Let me hear your voice

I'm begging and pleading.

Let me be a choice

Upon those you're loving.

Let me say those words of gray.

The future is brighter that yesterday.}
