Claws...

Claws...

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

Damn.
It's crawling into my blood stream so slowly, making me shake.
I once saw a cat fight itself to death, and hiss with electric eyes.
I even caught a baby bird in my window and nursed it to death.
Singing songs of freedom in my closet, I held my ears.
And if you cover my hands as my palms press against my hearing stems,
I'll break into shards you've never seen with such a lost smile.
My hands aren't too sure if they should wrap you into my body
Or throw you against the walls and let you stare.
I know I've been condescending on myself lately,
But you've been eating at my tissues and scorching my eyes since day one.
Its time to get a grip and take me home with you again.
It's been almost a year since we've seen each other but holy hell;
You still have my toes curled and my head tilted.
I once knew I'd fall for someone like this. I just didn't know it would be you.
S**t.
