Bubbles From Spinning Too Fast Are Real.

Bubbles From Spinning Too Fast Are Real.

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

I felt the weight of your eyes as you stared.
Carnival lights made me feel joyful,

Telling me I was home with the Fun;
Knowing well inside you were running rides,
Children laughing and screaming murder from their stomachs,

I would stand there with such big brown eyes
Watching, watching, watching; a never fading smile.
I never got enough; and you kept your promise to me.

We rode together, tearful eyes, sad smiles.
You were packing up that night for the next town.
"I'll come back for you," you said quietly,

Laid your head against mine gently, almost transparent now,
"I love you," and that given name.
And you kissed me for such a long time afterwards,

My heart was imploding painlessly.
Now I hear just passing cars, hollowed out benches,
And that distant turbine whistling something fierce.

Maybe I won't let go, and things will be fine.
Time is just the phrase we use to mask out fears.
I honestly feel it sinking in, that you're coming home.

Can I...Can I place the weight on you now
With my big brown eyes and wild happy smiles?
