Bruising Smiles.

Bruising Smiles.

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

You tell me to stop beating myself up over it,
But I was so selfishly stupid.
I wanted you back against me,
And you say you will be one day,
Just not now.
That you are stripped down by the distance.
I am okay with your choice and blistering in spite
Of all the suffering I put myself through.
I'm not the only one wishing for the past.
But I'm fine with this…I am. I promise.
