The Dead Snakes Still Bark.

The Dead Snakes Still Bark.

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

Underneath my pale white skin is black blood.
I am a woman, with many flaws to dismiss away.
And I do not figure you as I did the rest.
You are something otherworldly that drives me insane.
You say you love me but give bitter stars at night.
You cast out my pain and give me candy hearts.
Did you not hear me?
I said I was yours and I said goodnight.
So why is it when we fight and I break you and I mend you,
Why is it then that you grab my face so roughly
And cram yourself farther into my bones?
Why is it when I scream at you how I need you,
You fall to pieces against me and say eight letters?
I do not like this tainted aroma.
It's sickening as the slow beat of my heart.
I cannot live with you.
No, I need you. I want you. I love you.
Forgive me.
