Cry Out The Animal Moans

Cry Out The Animal Moans

A Poem by xXxCynicalWarsxXx

You drew the blood out of my throat,
The silent whines into the lake of sin,
And now all the birds sing death
As my lips scream broken fears.
I haven't known an ache like the ravens,
But now the wolves howl ashes.
I needed you.
The rain is coming, I am smiling.
Eight months will pass until you return
And I will try to smile like I did the day
You stole my innocence in vast harmony.
So though the snakes coil me down to spider webs,
I keep my heart in your palm and cry out.
Respecting all the creatures in the lillies,
I fall in cherry waves and gasp at the scent of fall.
May you keep me here for all eternity,
My Devils play, I remain your slave.
And when the night air leaves me cold,
Your lips will spill my rust again so softly...

This was really wonderful. The vision I got from it probably isn't close to what it's actually about but the mentioning of rush in the last line gave me the image of an old sailing ship, slowly being reclaimed by the sea. The words it's loves and laments as the tides of time, slowly wash clean it's mark upon the world.

Nice Ink!
