I am a Zoo

I am a Zoo

A Poem by Hypnotique
"

A children's poem I wrote about the different parts of my personality there are, and the way people and I see them.

"

There is
A little lamb inside of me,
It bleats and squirms and kicks and flees.
It wobbles around with knocking knees.
It never wants to be set free.

There is
A quiet mouse below that, still.
It squeaks and scurries and eats its fill.
It never bothers with any thrill,
Wants to leave, but lacks the will.

There is
A nervous rabbit in there, too.
A bit afraid of anything new.
A trembling, worried, nagging shrew.
That never knows just what to do.

There is
a lion, big and fearless thing!
It's never dull, 'cause it's the king!
With a roar in its mouth and a pounce with a spring,
Its wildness is in full swing.

There are
A lot of different parts of me,
Not all of them are parts you see.
But though they fight, most would agree,
I'm happy as a clam could be!
