Far Light

Honourable intentions mean more work

You stand high on righteous feet,
And proclaim your motives pure.
Yet still good fortune does not come.
Success this does not ensure.

Shadows craft a shorter path,
And the light won't bring you near.
To illuminate the dark you must work much harder.
To prove yourself you must persevere.
