Lord of Cowards

Lord of Cowards

A Poem by Tobi
"

Sometimes life is the coward's way

"

A curse of loneliness,
Combined with people to fear.
The Mother's cruel joke,
Whose purpose is unclear.

Created by a sadist,
Whose orders I am compelled to fulfil.
I've obeyed her command to serve,
Because I simply lack the will.

To either die as a human,
Or live as a slave.
An easy choice for you perhaps,
But even a shard of life I crave.

The level of willpower required,
To step through the mortality gate.
Can you even fathom,
The kind of mind unable to wait?

I shall linger onwards,
Waiting for my chance to learn,
Why life seems to come so easy to you.
When will it be my turn?

You may decide to rebel,
All you need is the nerve.
But for I, the Lord of Cowards,
I get everything I deserve.

humm interesting subject. Good flow, you pull the reader through.
The vocabulary and structure are very good. But I am wondering what is the lesson you are trying impart.
