The Room

The Room

A Poem by Tobi
"

A Life Lived Alone

"

Can you see inside my cell?
No of course you can't,
For it is a private Hell.

I've been here for time unknown,
Waiting for the nothing tomorrow brings.
But the results of my spent time are clearly shown,

On the once bare walls that confine me,
Where no doors or windows lie,
Only my pictures can I see.

I could behold their beauty forever,
But if I choose to stay,
Others shall see them never.

And so a thought descended from my crown,
If I wish to share my creation,
I must tear part of it down.
