DERANGEDA Poem by queenette vitalisA lunatic's end
Tiny whispers echoed around her You know the truth she seeks is out of reach The clash of shocking red hair Scattered on porcelain white sink Voice grated on her skin The look of a deer caught in headlight Eyes that darted back and forth The pills on the countertop were the easiest way out But the pain had to be savored The razor blades were the weapon of twisted, fucked up joy Scattering blades across the sink, she did Glaring at them, until a sick smile took over Grabbing one, with sharp breathe she took Her tattooed wrist lay before her Slashing she yelled Blood sputtering g out The veins lay open The madness was back in her eyes Each slashed skin, oozed blood Steps faltering Another blade rested on her palm Staring into the mirror Dark, lost eyes stared at her chest Slashing across her breast A tiny gasp The hand rose again Slashed wildly across her stomach Blood flowed The pleasure was back Her steps faltered Collapsing on the bloodstained tiles She stared vacantly As darkness descended The light faded And her world darkened forever © 2014 queenette vitalis |
