4 Roses

4 Roses

A Poem by Hyatt Vincent
"

The white rose is purity. The yellow one is friendship. The red rose is passion. And the black one is sorrow.

"

White rose petals fall

Yellow one wants them all

Red rose passion flows

Black one sorrow grows

White rose born this way

Yellow one never turns away

Red rose just one moment

Black one wrought with torment

White rose always the same

Yellow one sometimes there's pain

Red rose amazing touch

Black one here too much

White rose just the beginning

Yellow one through dying or living

Red rose come and go

Black one the end will know

I like the idea, but the execution is less than your capability. Use better words than you already have. If you cannot say something in the words you have, then say it the way that will get your point across. Don't let the meter or the rhymes trap you. Let them come.
