Trapped.

Trapped.

A Poem by Huw

It will look attractive

and will offer delight

and other promises.

Once you indulge

and seemingly enjoy

you will always want more

a repeat of that first taste

try as you might

that first delight

refuses to repeat.

It then becomes drudgery

a burden that must be borne

day in and day out

affecting the mind

numbing the senses

of the captives to sin…

About
I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
