and you are rejected…

and you are rejected…

A Poem by Huw

Whatever the degree of self-esteem a person possesses

it always outweighs their personal attributes.

Esteem is always supported by a vivid imagination

Who you are and what you pretend to be

are two very different people and it's only a matter of time

before the facade is detected then crumbles

and you are rejected…

Oh, I loved this. Straight to the point, getting read of the mask that people wear and one day. Realizing you are not what you expect you were at all. In all your thinking and are. As it's true we do wear masking. And put on a show for others and ourselves. And it's only when you are older and wise. We get rid of the charade and become who we truly are meant to be. Ourselves. for ourselves.

I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
